i started drinking about 11 years ago...i just never have seemed to be able to calm down or know my limits. I get crazy. Last night a guy i've been hanging out with told me i'm like jekyl and hyde...and that i get crazy when i drink. I dont know that i need AA...but i do need to fix this.

I have hypothyroidism?

I am not sure where to post this but I'll try here first. I have always been heavy, then lost weight after anorxia and now am about 50 lbs lighter than my heaviest. I was diagnosed hypothyroidism after I went to dr because I was eating light and working out 5 days a week and not losing weight. How do I get my pig headed hubby to understand this disorder. He thinks I am fat and lazy and I try to tell him I am taking medication now for it and I can't help it I have a harder time losing weight. I am so depressed about this. I got really depressed when I was at university and eventually dropped out all together, which I regret to this day, though there was little I could do at the time. I would advise you to contilnue with the course you're on, it's something that will bring good employment opportunties. Even if you could switch to literature that would be a bad move: a literature course qualifies you to do nothing whereas a technical course like the one you're in could get you a good job in the IT or some related field. As for the suicidal ideation, that's not what you need to be living with. Use the student counselling service and see a doctor with a view to getting antidepressant medication. You need to make a serious enquiry about what happens if you do get so sick you need to take some time out from your course. Just find out where you stand. I'm sure there is some system or scheme where you could finish your degree if you DID need to take a semester off. I'm advising this because if you understand 100% where you stand you'll have less worry on your mind. You're uming you're trapped due to the financial aspects, but do you know absolutely this is the case? I hope you start feelilng better soon. As I say I made a real hash of university I was trying to use weed as an antidepressant and it just made me worse, I didn't bother going to any cles for weeks on end, skipped vital exams etc etc I just didn't care any more. I was in such a mess my dr gave me a medical note writing me off for an entire semester. Relaxation exercises and deep breathing exercises, that sort of thing can be really helpful. Talk to your friends about how you feel and see a counsellor. Good luck :-)

my 23 year old boyfriend was adopted by two people who he claimed didn't understand him, after I got to know them after 6 years of us being together I noticed that they werent mean or vindictive, he was a very troubled youngster and they did all they could to help him yet I can see how much they love him, they did everything true sacrificing parents would for their kids, seeing how he blame a lot of his troubles on being adopted, as his girlfriend I seeked out he's birth father with the help of no one and found him in 2007, they got to know each other but it wasn't anything fatherly and strong besides he was grown and his father had his own family to look after, in the mean time my boyfriend and I had a beautiful baby boy together everything seem ok when I noticed he still wondered about his birth mother and that pained him, so with my searching skills I look for her on facebook went in her school alumni profile and found one of her friends who had her contact me that way I was able to find her. I can say that as soon as they talked and met that i've never seen my boyfriend this happy so I thought finally everything was looking out not only for him but for our son and we could everything p us and now he now know like he said his true identity. the birth mother has her own family and was very welcoming to him and our family, on the day that my son was turning 2 the adoptive mother came over to drop my son's present off to tell me that her son (my boyfriend) has abandoned her and their family and it hurt her a lot and she cried. I guess in my hurry to try to give the father of my son peace and comfort I forgot what it would do to his adoptive parents, and now I feel that God is punishing me for it. Now he moved out of the state and left his only son to move in and live with his biological mother because he never had 2 real parents to raise him like I have he stated to me once and that he is making a sacrifice and that someday our son will understand. I am so confuse... My mother explained to me that it's just an honeymoon stage and if he abandoned the woman who cared and loved him for 22 years he will do the same to anyone and that he is an ungreatful person who only cares about himself and soon the husband of the birth mother won't be so ok with this, I feel like I have destroy 3 families, the adoptive parents, the biological parents family and all the same I have destroyed mine.it's been almost 6 months since he lives there and He barely sees his son, I'm a strong mother and I'm there for my son but the other day he called me from his biological mother's house in Idaho to let me know that he's going to take our 2yr old son to california on a 16 hours drive to see his birth father's family in Sandiego and will be back in 4 days and this will be a custom for the years to come, I really feel this is carma eating at me, I have physical custody of my son and although I would love him to have a great special time with his dad which he hasn't had in 6 long months but I don't know the biological fathers' family and California is so far away and I would never see my child and be there to protect him when he needs me most. How frequently should I be lifting if I am no longer sore the next day?

I have been strength training for about 6 weeks now and I've gotten really good results. I do most things with 3 sets of 10, bench press (flat only) lat pulldowns, pec dec, squats, bicep curls, tricep extensions, and quad extensions and hamstring curls and situps. I've been doing full body 3 days per week up until recently I lifted once on Monday and once on Friday (No Wednesday session) and I noticed that I struggled more when I only lifted two times in one week. I've also noticed that I am no longer sore the next day after my workouts like I was in the beginning. I feel strong enough to lift more often than 3 times per week, and I think it's because I've been eating like a madman because lifting really makes me hungry, I usually get in at least 4,000 calories per day and 200g or more of protein. (I'm tall and thin, 5'11 140lbs) I'm wondering if I could lift maybe 4 or 5 times per week since I feel fresh everyday. Keep in mind though that I'm lifting heavy (for me), never easy stuff

i feel anxious and have occasional panic attacks but my anxiety worsens whenever i visit hospitals my bp rises to 140/88 but my bp at home is usually 100/60.10 days ago i had a stress test bcuz i told the dr that i feel easily breathless when i ride my bike[though im able to do hour long cles in yoga & dancing in ymca]so i quit stress test after 4mins cuz i was breathless from fear & panic.my entry bp 140/80, pulse 99, max bp 190/90, pulse 145, then after 6mins recovery time bp was 120/78, pulse 98. the result showed nothing but minimal upsloping of st segment in inferior leads. im concerned does this indicate a problem? thanks.

My appear to be having an identity crisis and I'm going a bit batty. For one thing, the areola are the size of Chips Ahoy cookies, and about as lumpy. My used to be small, somewhat flat, and a very fair pink. For another, the actual nipple itself appears to be dividing. IT'S AGONY. I am guessing these are milk ducts forming or growing or some such, but the process is so incredibly itchy and painful (kinda like that drive-you-nuts not-quite-pain super-severe itching actually) that I want to take a carrot peeler to them! (Not really.) How long does this last? I have to be at work and I can't go around scratching or tugging at my all day to relieve the acutely itchy/painful, near constant twinge thing. Moreover, the part where the are splitting really does hurt, in a throbbing way. There is some sticky liquid leaking out but I don't think it's milk, maybe just ICF from the minor injury caused by dividing cells. Anyway, it's making me nuts. What can I do? Help!

Pontiac Grand Am Problems.?

I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am with 126,000 miles the car has never had any major problems a few weeks ago it shut off while I was merging into a turn lane and when I finally got the car started back it was running horrible and the check engine light is flashing. The engine is shaking really bad and you can here something jingling around like metal rattling. The car has plenty of oil and was always serviced on time. When I had the car checked at Autozone they gave me two codes. PO107 and PO300. I have replaced the spark plugs and I also ran a can of sea foam through the injector system and neither of these things helped at all if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks.

I am friend with an unsaved man..I am 28 and he is 38. I am a Christian but never had an intimate relationship before. I went to China for the first time with friends during the summer and I have to say it was a very good experience. Food was terrific (25 cents for full course meals), and the sightseeing was awesome. Not once did I see some restaurant that served "dog or cat" or did I see some chinese family eating fetuses, even the most rural parts of china, people ate NORMAL everyday chinese food...I also seemed to notice that A LOT of caucasians live there as well, according to my friend, they speak better chinese than they can. There are people like me everywhere I go in China and they are content at where they're staying...I'd like to ask the people that hold China in such negative light, where do you get your prejudiced information from about China? My car just started making grinding noises when i am driving it. it stopped when brakes are applied.?

i drive a 97 ford contour stick shift. 4 cylinder. while i was driving, i hit a small bump in the road and all of a sudden my car started making grinding sounds from underneath. i thought maybe something was dragging or caught underneath. i didn't see anything. the car makes this grinding sound when in gear and neutral. when the brake is applied, it stops. i also noticed that when i start it up for the first time of the day and try to get it to drive, it is very difficult to get it to go while in 1st or 2nd gear. is something wrong with my clutch or brakes or what?

I don't know if there was drinking, but these things happen. Best to either discuss it with your friends, or just carry on and get your things. You don't want to lose good friends over some minor incident. Next time, defend yourself. As far as your right to be angry, there is a range of emotions. It is not good for your body to be angry or enraged. Take some deep breaths. Then, regain your composure. It is not that easy to make a whole set of new friends. These deep confrontations don't usually end well, nor does dramatic exits.

Alright i am a rookie bird breeder. Ok i bought two canaries 2 months ago, male and female who have been proven pair. They have had successful clutches etc. Now i decided to breed them after one month and i put nesting material as well as a nest. The hen seemed interested and the next day she made a nest. Then all of a sudden she began rebuilding it. This continued for one week until she was pleased with her nest. She sat in it for one week, but no eggs. Then they started to mate. Note : Process is about 1 second or something. They do this everday. Now its been around 1 week days since the process began and i saw no eggs. Eveyrhting is ok by the way: They have enolugh light, and they have been given good food (egg, seeds, grit, cuttlebone, veggies etc) . Then i decided to seperate the two. Then the next day i see an egg at the bottom of the cage broken. So i return the male canary, and all of a sudden its been two days and no egg. And there are weapons of other characters from previous games. Now, if you are talking about the actual movies, well there is only one real movie which would be Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, *which has little to no relation to any of the games*, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, and there was a short animation which revolved around Cloud Strife and Zack going on the trip to Nibelheim, where they encounter the great Sephiroth. it starts as a innocent way of losikng weight. First, the anorexic will try to lose 10 pounds and once she/he is satisfied with his/her body and how they llook, they will try to lose 10 more. then 10 more and 10 more to the point where they are just bones and cutting food altogether (fasting). It is dangerous and can cuase loss of hair (early balding) and poor circulation and once you get to the pont where you lose too much you will feel weak and your body may shut down and you can die. you can fix it by increasing the amount you eat little by little.. then you wilgain weight healthy and be at a healthy weight.

When I was still playing HS football (3 yrs ago), I went to a sports performance center here in central florida and one of the things they had me do was get into a very high intensity mat routine wearing a weighted vest...i went thru a 6 week program with them right before practice began for my Sr. season...I was in incredible shape (I was already on a high intensity weight lifting regiment along with endurance runs and sprint work), the weighted vest mat routines took it to another level. I made starting CB for my Sr. season...good luck...btw not sure how much you weigh, but 40 lbs is pretty heavy. I am 5'11" and weighed about 175 in HS and I was started on a 15 lb vest and worked my way up to a 45 lb vest....good luck

I have trouble making friends my own age, but get along better, and seem to make friends better with children. I have trouble gaining any hobbies. I seem to have this problem with my vision and hearing. Like when watching a video about trucks. I can sit there and watch the entire video, but will have extreme trouble explaining what I just seen. I also have trouble with my hearing. When my brother was trying to tutor me with math, I had trouble understanding what her was trying to tell me. How do I tame my lovebird again?

We have a freezer (attached to the refrigerator) that forms a thick layer of ice on the bottom and has to be broken up fairly often. I have NO idea what is causing it! Need help with contractor issue.?

hired a contractor to redo two bedrooms. one room had to have drywall installed and crown moldings moldings around the window and doors. the other room just had to be spackled in some locations and crown and decrative moldings put up. we signed a contract at one price and i bought the materials including the molding. two days into the job the contractor told me he would have to charge me more because the molding i got for the windows and doors were not crown but decorative molidng, and he has to cut and measure, and they were much more work to put up. Should i pay more or should i refuse to pay more because the work order did not change, which was to put up crown molding and molding around the windows and doors?

Help! I don't want to bail but I'm panicking!?

So, for spring break coming up next week, I've been planning on going out of town to a place about 1,500 miles away. I am deathly afraid of flying, and that option has been crossed off the list. On a whim, I invited my friend. I don't know why I did, but I did and I don't even want her to go that badly. But she does. REALLY badly. I've told her all this stuff and she is so excited and has bought supplies and books and everything for the trip. And now, like I always do, I am panicking at the last minute. The things I'm afraid of are the long car ride (about 17 hours divided up into 2 days), being away from home, and having to stay with my friend with no escape for about a week. The car ride is what's really terrifying. And I really just want to spend time with my family, too. What can I do? I need help, fast. I'm so scared, and it's getting closer and closer and I really don't want to break my friends spirit and have to bored this spring break because of me. Now I'm getting even more panicky and I can't stand the thought of having to go! But I hinted to my friend that I don't want to go and she didn't get it..help please!!
