Which years would you personally refer to as the olden days?
The longer I live the more I learn.I'm now 65. About 7-8 years ago I started to study British military history. I seem to have had ancestors and family involved in every conflict since the Peninsula war. The more I read about the conflicts, the more I empathise with the people of those era's and the less 'olden' they seem. I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that although society has changed humanity has not. As far as your point goes my own children, both girls now in their thirties, cannot conceive of a time when there was no TV and worse still, no internet. And the oldest one is a city archivist!
